Because you love Strava (like we do) and you also love climbing with your road bike (like we also do), but sometimes it gets a bit complicated to find the right Strava segments for our favourite climbs. That’s why we have selected the hardest and most legendary climbs in road cycling and add their respective Strava segments for you.
You don’t need to log in with your Strava account to get the most of Horscat, however if you want to see how your best time at each climb compares against the KOM/QOMs and your friends you just need to click on the "Log in with Strava" button.
We use the Strava API to allow you to log in and to get all your climbing data. We don’t have access to your account, we just ask for your data at each Strava segment as well as your friends’ and everything we get from your Strava account is your name, your email, your picture and your city. We don’t share it with anyone nor use it for any purpose other than what you can see at Horscat.
Once you log in with Strava, here you will find the list of all the climbs you have ridden so far (according to the activities you have uploaded to Strava). For each of the climbs you will see the time achieved by the KOM/QOM, your best time and how faster you need to ride next time if you want to beat him/her.
Once you log in with Strava, here you will find the list of all your friends on Strava who are also on Horscat and for each of them you will find the list of climbs they have ridden so far (according to the activities they have uploaded to Strava). For each of the climbs you will see the time achieved by the KOM/QOM, your friends’ best time, your best time and how it compares against them.
Note that you will need to have the enhanced privacy mode off on your profile, otherwise the Strava API can’t provide us with the list of your friends.
If you add a new climb to your trophy cabinet or you smash the clock to a new personal record it will take some time before you see your profile and times updated on Horscat. Please allow us up to a couple of hours before you can show off your new achievement. And don’t worry, we will send you an email once your new climbs and/or records are available.
We love challenging climbs so we only profile 3rd, 2nd, 1st and HC road cycling climbs. We have included a first set of the most legendary and popular climbs but we will be adding more and more climbs. And you can help us with that.
At the moment we do this for you, so you can let us know about any 3rd, 2nd, 1st or HC climbs you are missing. Please, use this form and include a link to the segment on Strava if it is possible.
